I'm interested in using this program to overclock my HD5650 when running a 3D app (mostly Steam games), but keep it at 100/250 when in 2D.
Am I correct in saying that I can use the auto overclocking feature to switch to the higher clocks whenever a fullscreen app is opened and switch back again when it closes?
I assumed I could do this:

but it doesn't seem to work - the oc profile is never activated. Do I have to set individual game profiles for every application that I want to run oc'ed, or is there something else I haven't set up?

    Help very much appreciated :)

I use MSI Afterburner beta and it does just that. When playing games it is overclocked but when browsing and using low profile 3D or 2D, it downlclocks as it should.

I thought the drivers did this themselves?
I used to have this issue maybe 6 months ago, but recent drivers have fixed the issue and clocks manage themselves appropriately now.

Hmm thats strange, i do the exact same thing for my laptop in sig below and it works with the version of ATI Tray Tools that i use...

There IS a caveat to the program though; it doesn't seem to detect ALL 3D games as 3D... some 3D applications like the Dolphin emulator i use doesn't seem to be detected and therefore i had to force the overclocked frequencies manually....

You can map hotkeys to different overclocking profiles using ATI Tray Tools if you want though..

I've got my overclocked freq set to page up key, and the standby clocks set to page down...
