Hi, I have been searching for this for the past hour with no luck. I tried googling it, only to find the file needed for it to work has been deleted. Anyway, my problem is that I installed ATI Tray Tools and it gives me an error when I try to run it. it says "Can not initialize ATIPDLXX library! Exiting now...." does anyone know how to fix this? I am trying to undervolt my 6970m on my Clevo W870cu. Thanks in advance.

AMD removed the atipdlxx.dll library starting with Catalyst 12.2. Not sure why but you can get around this by just taking atipdlxx.dll from an earlier driver release or by downloading, then just stick the file in the Tray Tools program folder. Be aware that you may still experience some odd glitches (at least I do), but you'll be able to undervolt. Hopefully the developer releases a new version of ATT soon, as it is pretty outdated.

msi afterburner perhaps ?

No idea why you're getting that error.
Try this: http://www.filedropper.com/atipdlxx_1
It's the exact same copy of the dll I'm using. Also, check your ATT version. Mine is 1.79.1573.
EDIT: Just checked out the dll you downloaded from the link provided and something is definitely up with it. It's only 60kb, when alll the atipdlxx.dll's I've seen are around ~350kb. -

You can ignore that message. There are hardset limits to what the card will allow anyways voltagewise (.750v minimum and 1.100v maximum, any values below or above these will be ignored and have no effect), so you don't have to worry about actually damaging the gpu. Worst case scenario is you set too low a voltage for a particular clock setting and end up crashing the driver or Windows, but then you just reboot and make the necessary adjustments.

Click the icon at the bottom that has the floppy on it. Once you do that a new dialog box should open that allows you to save a profile.

Oh yeah, you have to click the little box that says 'Include clocks in Profile.' Set the clock speeds and the voltage you want for those clocks, then save.

Hmm ...
Just did a clean install // reformat for my notebook, and have come across a huge problem with ATT.
Adding the .dll to the folder allows the program to run, and I can set my clock speeds // voltage profiles just fine.
However, when the program is running, I come across a TON of issues with other games/programs. For example, Steam will not load at all. Login pops up but the process abruptly ends without warning. Both the Diablo III and Guildwars 2 launcher will not load or will crash if I start ATT mid launch, and even google chrome crashes upon loading any website.
All these issues I have encountered are non-existent when ATT is not running in the background. Any ideas? I really would like to keep my clocks locked and undervolted ...
I should note that I installed the latest AMD mobile drivers (catalyst 12.10) but I also saw this issue with 12.8 -
ATT is so outdated that there's virtually no point of running it!
It kicks your mobile GPU in the face! Just use MSi Afterburner. -

^ i'm not 100% sure about this, but AMD has removed the ability to change GPU voltage on mobile cards from Catalyst drivers since 11.10 (at least that's my experience with my 6630m). maybe your 6970m works better with Afterburner.

Although MSi Afterburner doesn't allow most mobile (or any) cards to under/over-volt then everything works out fine. Stick with something that works, it'll NOT kill your GPU.
Also darxide_sorcerer is correct. You can get vBIOS though for the 6970M undervolted one if you'd like.. try searching a little
