Hey, i'm new on the forum, but i've been reading the posts here a long time ago. So, here is the question: will X1150 run and give me stable fps on these games?
Return to The Castle Wolfenstein
Rise of Nations
World of Warcraft
Warcraft 3
Battlefield 1942
Call of Duty 2
You think these games will run fine on a notebook with a Sempron 3500+ and a X1150 with 1GB of ram? Thanks in advance!!

Speaking from experience with the 1150, WOW, Warcraft 3 and RTCW will run very well.
BF1942 and COD2 will pretty run OK at low-medium settings at the most. -

I would HIGHLY recommend that you get a dual core cpu and at least 2 gigabytes of ram, also try to get a dedicated graphics card at least like the 8400M or HD2400.

Thanks for your fast reply. Hmmm i'd like to buy a dual core processor and a better video card, but...my budget is real low because i live in Brazil and good notebooks are really i mean REALLY expensive here. We have some low-cost notebooks here, but they are a really big c**p from build to support.
My options were the x1150 or go6150. -
Yea they'll run on Low-Medium settings at 1024x768 at 20-30FPS

WOW Runs Playable, but not Acceptable with my Dell vostro 1000
Amd 1.7Ghz Dual Core Turionx2
1Gig of ram
Meh
The biggest issue with this video card is that, it barely supports newer games but it wont even support older games because of the later directx
I think newer games use directx 10 or 11 while the older games use 9(correct me if i'm mistaken)
Anyways this card is a lose lose sittuation, so if your buying it for older games like Jedi Acedmy, then forget about it because that game wont run for anything, and if your looking to play WOW forget it those are the games i've tested I hope this helps on your descision -

So yea it can run Wow pretty well considering that the card is better than the GMA 950 and even that can run Wow. -
if you're running Vista, you're gonna have a hell of a time running any of those games...with XP it's survivable. the x1150 (aka x300 isn't it?) is good for about running Vista Aero and that's about it...tho some of those games you list aren't new and would be considered old (just maybe not as old as some of the older games LOL!) and should run about as these guys have stated.

I found a budget notebook in the extra(R$2100,00 I too live in brasil), which have a pentium dual core cpu and a x2300 graphics, maybe you want to have a look.

Hmm, I'd say most of those games will run on medium-low, but I'd certainly recommend something more powerful, the only ATi integrated card you can game on approaching properly is the X1250.

i got the x1100 on my laptop - which is now broken. anyway, up to the time it crashed, it played games decently at low settings mostly. i got hl2 to work fine and even could play bf2142 at low settings (1024x768); of course i lagged to hell in the big titan maps - the smaller conquest maps played fine. just to warn you, ati has terrible support for their integrated cards; just speaking from what i have experienced. im looking to get an nvidia card next time around - even if it has to be igp again...
ATI X1150 is acceptable for "not-so-old" games?
