    (Topic)

ATI Video Memory - 256MB of HyperMemory (total of local and shared system memory used by GPU)

    Nvidia Video Memory - 287MB

    Nvidia's my best bet huh?

I believe the 1150 outperforms the 6150, which is more similar to the older 200m.

odin243 is right. About 1150 which I have there is no local memory. Mine can reserve up to 256MB in the UMA this is reserved system memory (not local), then the card can pull an additional 256MB from the RAM, Windows XP reports 512MB GPU. So it has more than what Nvidia reports. Vista is very different but 1150 is a better card came out after 6150 and was considered best IGP available. If similar to 200 30% slower than 1150.

Both cards uses a part of the mainmemory, I'll go with Xpress 1150 it's the faster clocked version.

With shared memory which is always a drawback vs dedicated, the ATI sets aside a certain amount to a certain part of system memory which is more efficient than spreading it throughout all the RAM. ATI advantage. The Nvidia has a higher clocked core 425Mhz ATI 400Mhz but more to performance than core speed. CPU's have taught us that.

    ATI hands down!
