Hey guys, I'm experiencing a new and odd problem while gaming - my graphics card will always downclock itself to 128/130 mhz for the gpu/mem respectively. I'm using ATI Tray Tools to attempt to adjust the clocks as well as monitor them. I can manually set the clocks to the default of 480/450, and this is verified on ATI TT's hardware monitor, but the moment I load a game (Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead) the clocks revert back to 128/130. Note that this slowdown happened BEFORE I installed ATI TT - I only installed TT to figure out what the hell was going on! So its something to do with my laptop, not tray tools. (hopefully)

This makes a very significant difference in my gameplay - before TF2 would run at 30ish FPS at my settings, now it can barely churn out 10 FPS, even less.

Uninstalling and re-installing new and old drivers didnt change anything.

Any suggestions? As it is my gaming capability is completely crippled.

p.s. relevant laptop specs are Intel T7300 @ 2ghz, 2gb memory. Windows Vista Business 32bit.
