I'm planning to buy an acer laptop but I cant decide between these two graphic cards. I heard 1250 is one of the best on the market but 1100 has higher mb. So which one is actually better?

1250 is the better. I would not be worried about which one had more memory as they can't make use of large memory anyway (256MB/512MB). The 1250 has faster core clock 400Mhz(?) vs 300Mhz. The way the memory is talked about w/1100 and 1150 is so confusing and misleading. My 1150 which was sold as 128MB actually can be set to 256MB in the UMA meaning it sets aside memory from system RAM to only be used by the IGP, but it can share an addtional 256MB out of system RAM. Windows reads 512MB adapter. I set my UMA to 128 as I see no benifit when set higher and see negative also. If a 7950 GTX can not make full use of 512MB vs 256MB no way either of these cards can.

I have no problem with HD movies.

well i would go with turion since it eats less bat.. or less power but i think athlon would be better if you want gaming.
like most of ppl said, go with 1250..
more mem doesn;t do anything much except if you need more ram to run certain games but thats it... also if you buy 1100 it is going to suck up to 256 mb of your ram at most if you make your mem to 512mb.

By 'best' I think the person means 'best integrated' which the 1250 is right now so that would be the better choice for gaming.

1GB RAM, IGP, Windows Vista Premium not a good mix. You really need to consider more RAM. 2GB minimum.

I looked at the site you linked, 1250 w/TK-53 is a little better overall. But you could save £21 and buy the 1100 w/TL-56 and over clock the 1100, if you push it to 400Mhz it is the same as 1150, I have read you can push it to 500Mhz it should beat 1250 at about 450Mhz. And you would end up with a better CPU. Of course you might be able to do the same w/1250? Neither are good for gaming I would save £21 and buy 2X1GB RAM for £40.

For those prices you could do with a better laptop. Anything with a GeForce Go 7600 would be in that price range and have dedicated graphics. Even an Intel X3100 graphics setup would be better.
