Just wondering. I hate that it graps like 60-70 Megs to have it's colorfull application work... But except for powerplay what is its use. I have the drivers installed

There's no point really. CCC is one of the many reasons why I don't have an ATI card. ATI Tray Tools is a good program that offers most of the functionality you need but without the bloat.

Yeah, just uninstall Catalyst Control Center and use ATI Tray Tools

Ok tx
and power play is that there too?
-
No, there's no powerplay in att. But you can keep the ccc. Just strip down it's resource usage and use att for all 3d settings.

I do not have CCC installed; I use ATI tray tools. PowerPlay still works on my laptop. I also have underclocked the GPU more than PowerPlay does so I just use those profiles through ATT on battery.

There isn't PowerPlay in Ati Tray Tools, but I uninstalled CCC and I am using Ati Tray Tools to control 3D settings and Notebook Hardware Control to control PowerPlay. The PowerPlay is working; on AC the clock rates are 400/380 MHz, on battery they drop to around 130/150 MHz, but the Ati HotKey Poller service must be left running....

Don't you lose AVIVO though when you disable CCC?

ATI control center really needed?
