2x crossfire dual (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 512Mb)
vs
SLI ENABLED DUAL(2) 512MB PCI-Express nVidia Geforce 9800gt
thx.
-
they will perform similarly
-
second wat boypogi said.
-
So both are similare in perfomance... if so thx alot !
-
i think 9800m gt will be slightly faster
-
The 9800m GT is slightly faster than the 8800m GTX.
Either will probably outperform the 3870 by a small amount(10-20%) although they are both still relatively new cards so it might be even less of a gap. -
You would probably have less problems if you went with the SLI config over the Crossfire. Correct me if I'm wrong.
-
Crossfire tends to scale better than SLI.
-
is the HD 3870 even out yet...?
EDIT: this tends to be the first Crossfire installment on laptops for ATI, so i dont expect much. -
-
yeah but the OP mentioned 9800GT SLI not 9600.
-
He's talking about the desktop 9600GT's.
-
Ya, pretty much a laptop 9600 GT equals, like what ... an 8600 GT desktop? I'd say that's about right.
