    Sup guys Just want to know what do you think I'm going to get a cheap lappy if I'm able to do some gaming would be great, I heard ppl run COD4 on x3100 quite decently
    just need what you think on both cards.. I heard the X1300 performs quite well.. it's just a matter of time on intel improving the drivers.. on X1200 I got no news.. :confused:

    The ATI X1250M is at least as fast as the X3100. See the chart at Notebookcheck. However, the Intel solution uses less power when running on battery.

    The new AMD/ATI "Puma" chipset is much faster than either of these.

    Sup ratsey , guys, well I checked over @ notebook check and ..

    Intel GMA X3100 3dmark2005 = 820
    3dmark2006 = 532

    ATI X1200 3dmark2005 = 839
    3dmark2006 = 264

    The x1200 wins by a couple more points on 05 but the x3100 tops it on 06
    so is this real?, and to be honest it seems pretty much the same to me.. the x3100 is dx10 , so I think that would be bestter.. or notebookcheck is out of its mind

    dx10 doesn't matter in integrated cards. its a check mark feature that you will never use. the card isn't powerful enough for most dx9 apps, much less dx10.

    i have the x3100... and i rarely use it compared to how my notebook also has the nvidia 8400M GS.... iam not going to lie.. you get under 20 frames ALL the time and sometimes n the single digit frames per second under heavy fire in CS: Source

    but with the 8400M GS i get prety playable frames like 30-40 and iam not even running at its max core clock speeds or max memory speeds.

    I really don't think you should look at either of these its COD4 you want to play. If you want a igp you should at least get a puma laptop.
