    It's OK. Better than Xpress 200M (a lot) and X300 (a bit).

There are much better video cards out there now, but it should be OK for most games, CS among them.

It isn't a really weak card and it should play CS and even CS-source (low res though), but there are a lot of more powerful cards out there. If you are into gaming get at least a x600.

its a pretty good card. i would say its much better than x300 and about the same as a x600 maybe a bit slower. but i would say that 64mb of video memory does not cut it. i should know i have it in my rig which is like almost 2years old. LOL. Just download some omega drivers and see if yours is underclocked and you should be able to handle any game at lowest settings. LOL

9700 is roughly equal to X600. It would handle any game right now at lowest settings, and most of them at higher than that. I was assuming that playability of CS-Source was the question. The fact that it will play the original Counterstrike flawlessly is a triviality.

9700 is a great card, but will have trouble with newer games in directx 9.0c.

It should still do great with a lot of games.

    Cheers,
    Mike

yeah it totally sucks when running call of duty in directx 9 mode. but it can run it flawlessly in direct 7 with all settings extra so im not complaining much. i was wondering how it will handle dungeons and dragons online? any ideas?
