I wouldn't suggest disabling enduro at all for that latest WHQL drivers definitely make it look like the problem underutilization is in the past. At least in my case.
Yet enduro saves your dedicated card from performing tasks that normally HD 4000 can cope more than enough. That way you would save mileage on your AMD gpu, thus prolonging its lifetime. Then again its only my opinion.

Ahh thanks rudlin. Thats the thing. Alot of the info on the forums will now be outdated. As everything tells me to disable enduro. So will i have to get these drivers frm the amd site? Also i read somewhere about a driver which boosts performance. Cant remember what it is called. CAP or something? :/

Get the 13.1 WHQL from here AMD Catalyst 13.1 WHQL – BenchmarK3D and follow them on there for driver updates. Wouldn't recommend trying beta drivers after 13.1 since most issues seem to be in the past.

CAPs are mostly for Crossfire computers. Its nothing but profiles for applications.

lol congrats on the new laptop, I just got my M17x in last week. Like others have said, update to catalyst 13.1 and yes, I would disable Enduro and run directly off the 7970m. Check out the M17x section, it will become your new home :p

Do some benchmarks, download some games, and have fun!
