i noticed that my notebook has gm965 chipset today, so, that means i have an unused gma x3100 intel graphics card in my notebook which i use 8600m gs instead of it.
My question is: if i pull out this 8600m gs,then sell it to someone; will be able to replace it with something like 8800m gtx?in the meantime i can use the gma x3100?Does any notebook service sells those mobile gfx cards?
excuse my english if it's too bad![]()

You don't have an x3100 if you have a dedicated card (unless you have a Sony SZ or Alienware m15x). Plus, the 8600m GS is most likely soldered onto the mobo.

thanks for the info, i checked the intels gm965 info on some offical link i found on this forum (on a "pm965 vs gm965" topic i think), it says gm965 chipseted mobos have x3100 and a pci exp x16 slot standart, just like the g965 with x3000 which i use in my desktop now.
edit: i checked the NO YOU CAN'T UPGRADE YOUR NOTEBOOK'S GRAPHİCS CARD thread and checked the intels info pdf again, now i only wish notebooks will be just flexible as desktop pcs right now in the future -
i found that the dell put the gm965 for the integrated X3100....
and the PM950 for the 8400GS or 8600GT.
and i was like there in no way to upgrade the graphic card in GM965.
but i just read in intel website that GM965 have a PCI Express* x16 graphics ports........isn't that mean you can put a graphic card down there??

You CAN NOT upgrade your graphics card.
