    Hey guys

    I just got a new acer laptop and did a 3dmark05 test and only got 1600 marks. I saw in a topc on here that in other tests done on this laptop it should get over 3000 marks. I have only installed mcafee virusscan on the laptop. could all the acer software be the reason for this? Please help?

    try to download the latest drivers and also download ati tool. acer tends to underclock their gpus by quite a bit. and its gets hot even with the underclock. lol. uninstalling the bloatware will help but not by much. maybe a hundred marks or so. remove startup programs too

    i had a similar problem with my sz. Apperantly sony had installed the new drivers over the old causing some problems. try to completely unistall your drivers and then install the new ones.

    I fixed the problem by updating the drivers and getting rid of sum start up programs. Now I get 3600 marks.
