Anyone played this mod? I don't think I'm going to be able to finish it. Too scary. -.-

I really like the trailer, I might give it a try.

 

The trailer does NOT do it justice. You'll be quite surprsed how well this 12-14 year old did in making this mod. Watch the first 2 parts or so of a Lets Play if yo wanna get a taste of it.

I completed Afraid of Monsters: Director's Cut a while ago. It's definitely one of the scariest survival-horror games I've ever played. Absolutely ranks right up there with Silent Hill 2 and Fatal Frame.

 

I can't find the button to turn off the power.

How do you actually get the game to run? I installed it but cant get steam to find the game.

meh didnt look very interesting, i would rather play F.E.A.R even though its only fun for an hour or so

 

any instructions on how to install this mod cus i cant get it to appear in steam

 

It a HL1 mod if I read correctly which means steam is irrelavant. Only HL2 was on steam.

 

i got HL1 on steam for 98 cents during a sale steam was having, so my copy of HL1 is on steam.

 

At least give it a try. I'd say it would be worth it.

And that 12 year old is a genius. I wish I could play it, but I don't have HL1, lol.

 

I also can't get it to work. After loading HL through Steam, there is no Custom Game option that I thought used to be there in the days before I stuck HL onto steam. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Never mind, found it. Where is that delete option....

 

I got it working. I had to install it in this directory
C\Program Files\Steam|steamapps\akshep\half-life

note that you wont put akshep in, but instead it will be your account name

 

Am sure the mod is excellent and well made but the graphics of HL1 just dont want me wanna play it, that engine had its prime time and it was great and fun but its like 12 years old i dont want to ruin my good old memories with it

 

I daresay that the old-school graphics actually complement (to an extent) the "freaky-factor" of AoM. I still find myself getting scared, even when I already know a zombie is there.

It really is a work of art.

 

Hows that even relevant? If you wanna stick to one scary game and thats fine, then do that without posting in threads about games.
