    Hi,

I get a warning message when I load up Age Of Conan on my Dell XPS 1530 that says my Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT drivers are not supported. I am running the latest Dell drivers but I understand there are many drivers I could try to get this game to work. Does anyone have experience dealing with type of problem who could give me some pointers?

    Thanks.

You'll need to head over to laptopvideo2go.com and download new drivers off their forum.

I'd recommend these drivers and instructions for Vista.

I'd recommend these drivers and instructions for XP.

Thank you for the advice. I followed the Vista link and installed 174.47 but I get a black screen when I launch the game (I do see the cursor and hear sound though).

I successfully used 174.31 w/ AoC. This can be DL'd from Dell's site for the M1330 lappy.

It was a typo (I did download 174.74). I started the game with fullscreen unticked and it got around the loading problem. Once in the game, I set AoC to fullscreen without any problems.

    Hey guys,

I found this post and thought I'd follow it for the XPS for similar reasons that prompted the OP. However, Windows insists that the "Standard VGA drivers" (What happens when I uninstall) is more up to date than the drivers I downloaded and absolutely refuses to install them. Is there any way I can get around this?

Have disk method, or just run the setup file in the Nvidia folder that the drivers extracted to.
