Hey guys, just a quick question to ask if AoC plays well on the 5650. I plan to be upgrading soon and well the 5650 seems to be able to play Black Ops really well and such.

AoC is really the only game I want to play, with the exception of very few others.

Any benchmarks on this card that anyone could give me? Can you run full direct x 10 with specular lighting etc. I'd love to be able to run this on max.
My specs are in my sig, minus the Intel Hd Graphics and replace it with the 5650 would it run well?

Depending on if it plays well or not is if I'll make the upgrade :)

No, not in DX10 with full details, it's still unoptimized, its like test mode or something. But you can play in DX9 on nearly max details (distance doesnt count).

Or you CAN play in DX10 but with probably lowering all the DX10 effect or in best case keep it on medium. Still it's first MMO with DX10 support and that suppord is not so good as it should be. But belive me, i was playing that game for a few months in DX9 settings with lots of details up shaders on high and the game is just beautiful. Best looking MMO for me.

Btw maybe I'm gonna play it again and we should play together, I see you're from Europe (Finland) I'm from Serbia.

I'd like to second your opinion. AoC looks amazing in DX9 mode as well (not too different from DX10 mode in my opinion). In addition to the impressive graphics, I would like to give separate praise to the art direction of the game: everything is very well-designed, a pleasure to look at - and the characters look good (which is a rare case nowadays).

Also, keep in mind that the major engine update is expected next week - which may make the game a little less resource-hungry.

I remember playing that back right at release.(even cancelled my WoW account to play the game, that is how excited i was for it) We all had to go out and buy new graphics cards to play it though. The optimization at launch was so poor. The game looked great though even before they released the DX10 update. Ive been wondering about trying it out again. I have heard that things have gotten better in regards to the bugs. And knowing that the major engine update is expected could mean I brush off my level 75 healer.
