So... they've been out for a week or so... can I get some impressions from people?

What features you were looking forward to in the game and whether the game met them or not?
What problems you had with the game's beta or whatever media you saw and whether they addressed them or not?
    The population of the games?
    Bugs/glitches/queues?
Did you leave a previous MMO to try these? Do you think you're gonna go back to your original MMO?
Anyone gonna quit after their free month and why?
Would you recommend it to another player?

    Thanks in advance :D

Trying out AIon soon. Fallen earth is good, but it's just not the best so far. Very buggy, and steep learning curve. Not continuing after my month because MW 2 comes out a week after, but I'll probably go back later on when it gets a little better

MW2 stands for Modern Warfare 2 (highly anticipated Call of Duty FPS).
As for Aion I haven't tried it yet but I doubt that I will be impressed, it just seems like another Asian MMO where grind is the way to go.

    Aion:

    Grinding
    Awfully poor customer service
    Poor server maintenance
Poor information on current status of servers, etc. Ex. If a server goes down for no reason, you'd never know why, how, when it'll be back up, etc. Ever.
Load of bugs. Yes, it's a new game. With too many bugs to worry about.
VERY linear. Are you prepared to level in same zones for all your characters?
Poor profession gatherings/craftings/levelups. This is literally, profession point grinding. You stand in front of a master for hours and hours to get only several points in your profession.
Too much traveling by foot. I fall asleep while moving my characters to a destination.
    Storage space. Seriously, ?
    Did I mention grinding?

    The Game Looks Beautiful.

If you can live with what I listed above, go ahead and get the game.

I have quit WoW quite some time ago, but at least I liked WoW better in a sense that it's the opposite of aspects that I've listed for Aion.

I have to think about quitting. Don't know yet. MW2 will be enough for some time.

No, I would not recommend Aion to a friend, unless he/she cares nothing but the looks of the game. It would be nice to stare at the game for hours instead of playing it.

I've played Aion and going to share with you my experience with it and compare it to World of Warcraft since it's the game I am very experienced with after playing it for 4-5 years.

The way the game looks is beautiful and the locations feel more massive and wide than World of Warcraft. The game has a special concept called PvPvE in which you play vs. players and play vs. enemies at the same time. The game has a lot more character customization than World of Warcraft and even Warhammer Online (I've played Warhammer Online a bit). The game will attract you if you like Asian style games (Ex: Final Fantasy). The story is amazing if you like it's type of lore. The classes have been made very simple (Scout = Assassin or Ranger). The music has a fantasy feeling into it and fits the surrounding. There is enough security in the game to feel secure just like many other payment mmo. There are proffessions for profit and others for fun, choose which one you like. There are enough quests if you do not like to grind and they're 3 types from what I have experienced are ones that you just complete and get your reward while there are ones that are for the story and others that increase your skill of your proffessions. There's more than enough grinding if you like to grind. If you like fantasy with Humans, Orcs, Taurens, Elves, Trolls etc then Aion is not your type. There are 2 sides in which you choose just like World of Warcraft to be good or bad (Light or Dark). I haven't experienced their service in the game yet but I have experienced their support on the european site and their reply was very quick and helpful enough to me. You can fly with wings to enhance your fight while in combat. There's a lot more you should just check it and see for yourself.

    So to answer your questions:

The features that I have been looking for in the game were there.
There are many people playing in the european region.
There are many bugs yet but the company promises to fix them and haven't experienced any glitches yet.
I have left World of Warcraft to try the game and I do not think of going back yet.
I am not going to leave the game after my free month cause I like it.
I would recommend it to a player depending on them in person.

    And you're welcome too. :)

So not much love for fallen earth, and Aion's kind of mixed depending on the person
