does anyone know if this game is free to play? or is it like GW, where you have to buy the game but it's free to play after that, or does it have monthly payments?
-
You have to pay to play otherwise they would have put something like on exteel and tabula rasa.
-
Yeah, p2p, but so far they got my money....

Looks like generic crap again from asia. Excuse my being so harsh. It's just that all these new non Western MMOs are just grindfests.
Western MMOs are unique and play so much better.
That just my Honest opinion. -

Oh, no, it's not available yet, no set date for NA yet, though we'r thinking it might come out around march.
And it's not another asian grindfest, it's different this time from NcSoft and it might actually b a great game.

I agree mostly with rot112, I find western MMOs try harder to bring innovation to the table which make them a lot more fun than generic asian mmos.

They could release ten games that were just pure re-skinnings and they would all do well. -
WHOAAAaaaaaaaa.
lol social popularity= you character lvl
sad sad sad....
i feel sorry for them -
I'm jealous! lol although i would be a loser cuz i don't have time to play that much. but if i lived over there maybe....

I'm actually liking NC's Lineage2 more and more.
I will give Aion shot when the time comes maybe...
Not only does Lineage2 still LOOK better than WoW, but its more fun and challenging too.
Yes it takes longer to make a character... but max-level newbies do not exist.
(they are the norm in WoW) Indeed, high-level newbie are rare. In WoW, being max level is not an indication of anything... in fact, in WoW, they might as well get rid of levels altogether.
WoW just seems to me to be aimed at the Ritalin generation.
You have a game so easy that pretty much every max level doesn't know even the basics of party mechanics and asking them to do something like "monitor aggro" so they don't die is kinda like asking a three-yr-old to understand differential equations.
You have people so fixated on their DPS meter rating that they cannot understand why lowering her instantaneous numbers to raise their long-term numbers is a good thing.
"I got 2932 DPS! I WIN!"
"over 4 seconds yes... but then you died and wiped us..."
They recently added an "acheivement" system which basically flashes "YOU WIN" above their heads for every little thing they manage to do...
YOU WIN, you reached level 10 (grats, you spent 10-15 minutes in game and thus is equivalent to being congratulated for figuring out how to breathe)
YOU WIN, you managed to get 100 gold! (this is kinda like saying grats on getting up and going to the washroom by yourself....)
Along with the challenge factor, there is the community... L2's is amazing...
WoW's is abysmal... the worst of any MMO I have ever played.
TEN Minutes in WoW is the best arguement for birth control ever created.
Western MMO's just don't seem to consider community and challenge to be a factor for fun recently... they focus on being so blindingly easy that everyone is guaranteed to be a god in such a short period that even ADD children without their Ritalin won't lose interest...
For those of us who CAN pay attention to something longer than 10 minutes, it is nice to have games which cater to other needs.
I WANT the environs to be difficult... even in newbie zones... people banding together is why we play MMO's... if you want to be a god, play a single-player game with cheat codes! I play MMO's for the other people... the interaction, the REAL challenge. -
I know what u mean, I didn't get into Lineage but I had much fun at RF Online. Teamwork was the most important thing, trying coordinate diferent characters for different attributes to succesfully crush the other race during wars while on teamspeak or vent is what mmo is to me. Yes u have to grind, yes u spend more time in the game but it teaches u how to properly use your character. I don't play WoW but all I hear from friends and family is I "got" or "will" get power lvl'ed and then "own" anyone. During your so called "grind" by the time u reach the max lvl at least u will learn how to properly fight against other classes and u'll know your weaknesses or strenghts.
