Wow this game has been in development for like the last 5 years. I really hope this game rocks because it looks like its going to be worth the wait.

It won't be out before 2010 Q2 so it's kinda early to jump on the hype train. But yeah, the E3 presentation was nice.

if it's anything like the max payne series then i'm sure it'll provide an awesome experience from start to finish.

saw the demo in E3, looks innovative but the gameplay gets boring pretty quick. hopefully the dev teams have a couple of tricks up their sleeves.

i dont think so i tihnk the ghost factor alone should make it interesting to explore/run around.

The game looks very interesting, open ended and might even justify the use of 4 cores. I remember seeing a clip of an in game tornado in Alan wake that was throwing a car around in the sky, debris everywhere and it looked crazy.

That alone was making use of all cores and appeared dynamic in nature as does the environment and lighting.

I doubt it. The tech demo of the game was shown to the audience alongside Intel's Quad Core Processors in 2005-06. By the time it is released, both game play and graphics will be severely outdated.

I hope this game is going to be worth it since it seems as if it has been stuck in development hell for the last like 5 years. ugh.... Duke Nukem forever anybody???? Either or this Game looks pretty sick, looks like it has a bit of a resident evil look to it, but I'm sure the game is visually amazing and its bound to be an excellent game.. ~Crosses fingers~

Well the story isn't anything special.

    - Main character and his wife will go to vacation
    - Wife goes missing

Yeah, sounds like a nobel prize idea to me. At least the dark theme of the game and intresting gameplay looks promising.

Theme reminds me a little of Silent hill if anything. And wow they really screwed that game up over the years. Oh boy!!!

Yeah, Silent Hill ended with the PS2 releases (SH4). That is why I hope Alan Wake would take again such kind of direction.

I saw the E3 trailer for this, looks great. Storyline seems interesting too. Looks like something right out of a Stephen King novel.

Wow are you off the mark. It's about a horror writer that gets writer's block after being unable to get over his wife going missing. Years after he tried to get back to writing and his life on track in a little town called Brightfalls. Where he finds he is able to write again, but whatever he writes becomes reality.

Go here for accurate info on Alan Wake.

Sounds Silent Hill style, that is good. I have high expectations on the game quality (as a whole, not only graphic-wise).

I like horror games, so I am looking forward to AW. Too bad some of the best horror games have been console exclusives.
