Aliens vs Predator is an entirely new title for PC and high-definition consoles from acclaimed British developer Rebellion, the team behind the 1999 original PC gaming classic. The game is set to be released in early 2010.

Bringing the most intense war between two of science-fiction’s most popular characters FPS fans, AvP delivers three outstanding single player campaigns and provides untold hours of unique 3-way multiplayer gaming.

Experience distinctly new and thrilling first person gameplay as you survive, hunt and prey in the deadly jungles and swamps surrounding the damned colony of Freya’s Prospect.

    - As Private Hal Edison, you’ll experience a claustrophobic and terrifying experience where light is your friend, but there’s never enough. However, the United States Marine Corps are humanity’s last line of defence, and as such they are armed to the teeth with the very latest in high explosive and automatic weaponry.

    - As the Predator, you will stalk from the shadows and from above, passing athletically through the treetops to ambush your victims. Although equipped with an array of powerful, exotic weapons and tracking equipment, honour ultimately dictates that you must get in close and take your trophies face to face.

    - As the most deadly species in the universe, the Alien offers you the chance to play as the very stuff of nightmares - the monster in the dark swarming forward with countless others, jaws like a steel trap and claws like blades.

    - Play all sides off against each other in a series of unique 3-way online modes and go tooth-to-claw-to-pulse rifle in the reinvention of one of multiplayer gaming’s defining moments.

Oh My God, that looks awesome.

Those graphics beat Crysis IMO, I wonder what kind of PC is needed to run 45fps at those settings 1920x1080.

I Loved AVP for PC, each character had a very specific kind of gameplay, the Alien game was crazy because you could climb walls and ceilings so the stages were like portal requiring a lot of puzzle work to figure out how to get to the next area, infact thinking back on it it was better than portal as you had to kill stuff :p

I remember this game on my Atari Jaguar. It was great. I also have the original PC version from 5 years ago. This one looks fantastic !!!! If this one looks better than Crysis, I wonder if this will be the new benchmark ??? Just my thoughts. God Bless :)

It looks good, and if the gameplay is as solid as its predecessors it's going to win over a lot of fans.

If they have the Survival mode for multiplayer online where you just get wave after wave after wave of more and more and more aliens this game will be a knockout. Build the AI to get tougher and tougher as well to add challenge.

The original AvP had this and it was awesome. I am very excited about this game.

I'm excited about this as well. I watched a preview video over at PCGC ( link) and it seems like they're doing a nice job differentiating the three characters (marine, predator, and alien).

But AVP looks totally stunning. I would say Crysis and Cry engine killer. I think that would be an appropriate title.

If it's a console title, highly unlikely a "Crysis killer". It looks nice, but just keep the gameplay as original as the, well, original, and you're golden.

Not even almost better looking than Crysis, other than in these small bullshots.

Played the first two, awesome games. I especially like the second one, but it did lose a bit of the "fear" that was so prominent in the first one. In AvP1 you always felt like you were being hunted, I think the computer just constantly spawned in Aliens, your motion detector was always pinging, bloody scary stuff. AvP2 went with the scripted game moments. Still great fun, but lost the sense of being constantly hunted.

Mulitplayer in AvP2 was also brilliant. I loved the maps where first person to die becomes the alien vs all the other marines. When he killed another marine, that person respawned as an alien. Games would always involve all the marines running for a decent defensive point, usually a room with a door way. Then they'd just wait it out, lol. One by one, the marines would get picked off. Till it was just a few vs heaps of Aliens. Loved it.

If they keep the same recipe, don't dumb it down too much for the bloody consoles, and include a survival mode against the Aliens in Multiplayer, then they'll have a winner!
