Call me stupid but an identical Alienware Area-51 m15x is as follows:
Ireland (listed as .fr to show euro, the irish page is .co.uk) - http://www.alienware.fr/product_pages/notebook_all_default.aspx
    €2,049 =2,973.62 USD

    UK - http://www.alienware.co.uk/product_pages/notebook_all_default.aspx
    1,276.00 GBP = 2,484.13 USD

    USA - http://www.alienware.com/Product_Pages/notebook_all_default.aspx
    $2,149 = €1,480.79

Why on earth is it 33% more expensive in Ireland than the states? And $300 more expensive in the uk, thats excluding shipping :/ Absolutely soul destroying as I'd have bought one right now off Alienware :(

you're lucky guys, you still can buy this awesome notebook online. but me, Alienware didn't sold their product online to my country. I don't know why they didn't put my country in their list. They think we don't have any money to buy their product, or they worry their product being hijack here ?

they do it because they can and the consumers can't do anything about it -- and alienware doesn't care about that either :p

customs issue, return issues, warranty issues etc. there just isn't a market in indonesia for alienware. meaning benefits aren't worth their cost.

Well considering the population of indonesia is only about 50 million less than the US,you would think there would be some sort of market there.
Electronics are extremely popular in south east asia [twice the pop of US]in which indonesia is part of.

I live in New Zealand and would love to buy one of these notebooks, and for me it would be $1300 cheaper for me to get relatives in the US to buy it and ship it,rather than buy it from the joke of an AW franchise in this part of the world.........support would probably be an issue, but it will be going through the local ripoff agent as well, going by recent history.

I guess, unfortunately,I will just look on in envy or relief......depending on what sort of run people get out of the M15X.

many people you mention in south east asia don't have the means acquire something like alienware. they don't have as much disposable income like the U.S. on average. whats the point of having large population when half people (or more?) live in poverty. they are rather content playing games at internet cafes.
