Hi, I have a quick question:

I am looking into buying the Alienware m15x laptop directly off their site. There are 3 graphics card options to choose from:

    1. ATI Radeon HD 3870 2. Nvidia GeForce 9800M GT 3. Nvidia Quadro FX 3600M.

If I were to choose the ATI Radeon 3870 (this is the default option and doesn't cost extra $$$) would I be able to later upgrade to the Nvidia GeForce 9800m GT???

    Thanks a lot,
    Dylan

even if you could, why would you want to do that as it would cost more, may as well get it now?

MXM cards are never cheap. My recommendation would be to spend as much of your budget as possible on non-upgradeable parts that you need, configuring upgradeable components on the low-end, and then upgrading those upgradeable components yourself (you'll save some money since manufacturers charge extortionate prices for RAM).

    Alright....I guess that's what I'll do.

What is a good website to buy RAM or a Hard Drive?

    Thanks,
    Dylan
