The m15x is only 1.3" thick, which is thinner than most other companies' 15" notebooks.

That would be beastly, e6600 with an 8800m GTX. That notebook would smoke the m15x anyday.

lol yea it would....and then it would melt. but 8800m GTS seems likely though since many companies use the c90 chassis. doubt the gtx will do because then the Turbo Engine would be blowing out fire not air, especially with the e6600.

No the Asus lamborghini takes an extra grand from your wallet and then laughs at you because you could have gotten better specs in an Asus G1s

Ha, reminds me of when I was in the marines the RPG (thats rocket propelled grenade launcher, since I am on a tech forum wont be surprised if somebody things I am talking about world of warcraft) has a warning label on it about firing it around people with anything behind you within like 50 feet due to the flame/thrust.

Id have to contact the Marines and have them print us some of the labels to put on our C90's.

As for as the C90 w/ 8800 I said it was probably going to happen all along way way back when it first came out, my prediction tho was a 8800GS aka the lowest possible one, with all the new information I still thing thats going to hold true because just a few days ago the pulled the 256mb 8600gt for heat reasons, so how are they going to toss a much stronger 8800 in there unless its the most gimped model? A die shrink wont be enough.

NOOOO the M15X is only about the size of an inspiron 1520/inspiron 1525

    1.3inches I believe

And there will be 8400 and 8600 replacements... the 9300 and 9500

The 9500 is barely a step up from the 8600. I heard is performs roughly the same as a 8700.

    *prays for a 9600M* :(

I wonder when you can expect the 9600m, the desktop version just got out. Whats the normal wait there?
An other thing that might speed things up is AMD:s just released HD3800, because i figured 9600 was due later this year.

BE happy if it performs like 8700gt... the next up if way to powerful...

    I'd say a quarter a year to a half...

the HD38XX is going to be almost as powerful as 8800gt desktop... so once it becomes mobile... wont be touching 8800m gtx

But it will be competing with the new 9500 and 9300 and 8700gt... But I am sure Nvidia will come and piss us all off with 9700 and 9800 because we just bought 8800m gtx and there we go...

Dont expect anything more powerful than the 8800M GTX in a laptop in 2008, there wont be.
