    All Gears of War games wont work after January 28?

    So my GOW stopped working a couple of days ago, kept getting the error saying wargame-g4live.exe...modified executable code blah blah blah. I tried reinstalling it 4 times to no avail. Then I scoured the internet for 3 days and found this article: http://megagames.com/news/html/pc/uncrackedgearsofwarforpcisnotworkinganymore.shtml . It worked! changed the date to 2008 and bingo!

    GOW in infamous for its errors but this has got to be by far the stupidest, I mean :confused:

    Ya, it's some pretty bad DRM. They said they're gonna remove it though, so it's just an issue of time.

    One of the reasons I wait a couple years to play a game. Still chopping through NwN2 here as GOW sits on my shelf.

    do u have to pay to play gow online ? Was thinking of grabbin it since the price came down. is it worth it for pc >?

    No, you don't have to pay to play online on PC. As for is it worth it, I'm not sure about the PC version with problems like these, but I loved the 360 version.

    The problem which I faced with GoW on the PC was nothing sort of a joke. After completing some acts, if I resumed my save game, it would say there are no save games on this machine. Disappearing save games were a big headache for me when I played this title.

    True happened to me, and after some googling found out it was common, and the only solution was to back up the game save after each gaming session and restore it if it got lost

    I just tried the game and got this retarded error, can't even play a game that has been on my computer for ages without going through the hassle of changing the date twice
    [rant]
    I'm really getting anti-epic.
    They said no GoW2 on pc because of pricay and the 360 version hit torrent sites a month before release
