Besides the P series gateway, alienware and XPS what other laptops have at least 1 8800 video card? I need recommendations for less than 2000 dollar notebooks but please feel free to list all with at least an 8800.
Thanks!

the Sager NP5793 and NP9262 have 8800M GTX's.
Note that you probably won't get any laptop with a 8800 for less than 2000. -
a laptop with an 8800 is alot of cash, the only way were ur going to get a laptop with that card under 2000$ is if u lower the other specs like the processor, RAM, hard drive... but trust me you dont wanna do that.
-
Lol the HP HDX has an 8800M GTS,
-

Yes even a GTS the problem is the Gateway is not available in Canada and if I order from the US I'll get smashed with shipping and border fees.

First make a quote at www.xoticpc.com for the Sager 5793 w/ 8800M GTX (~$2000)... lowest specs:
- WSXGA+ (1650x1080)
- 8800M GTX
- 1GB DDR2
- 80GB SATA HDD
- DVD-RW
You can contact www.eurocom.com (Canada-based) and look at their M570RU.
- they should be able to price match it for you.
Or you can just buy the barebones with the 8800M GTX from www.rjtech.com and ship it to Canada where you can purchase the standardized parts to install yourself:
- CPU Socket P (Penryn supported)
- DDR2-667 SO-DIMM
- any 2.5" SATA HDD -
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
does any UK sellers offer the 9262 in barebones
-
For UK, check out:
You can contact them to see if they can just sell you the barebones. -
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
novatech only sell the version with 1 8800m i want the 9262 what can use dual 8800m's
might ask rock and Kobalt though.
what do yo uthink the chnace is that novatech will sell the 9262? -
All Clevo D900C's (Sager 9262, etc..) can use SLI 8800M GTXs.
Most vendors will only sell the unit with a single 8800M GTX until Nvidia officially gives the final/stable SLI drivers.
So you can get any of the units with a single 8800M GTX and put in the second card later (its easy to do, all in the user manual as well) -
I think the Gateway P series offer a great deal, especially if you got the P-6831 during the President sales weekend. Unfortunately, there are availability issues now. I'm just happy I got in on the deal when it happened. But the others mentioning Clevos and Alienwares are good options if you have the cash.

iclicku what do you think about the screen? Many have been commenting on it not being very good.
Also a general question but why do many of these laptops have a touchpad on the left rather than the center or right?
All laptops with at least an 8800?
