The gamespot review for those interested, not very promising.
-
I've been playing the game and it's pretty good, and it run's well on my notebook.
-
One of the worst titles for a game I have ever heard!
I mean, come on, someone took a thesaurus and looked up "plan A"? -
This game is a joke. Horrid graphics. Cheesy cutscenes. Muddy controls.
It looks like something that came from 1998.
Comparisons to Mass Effect 2 should come with a formal apology to Mass Effect 2 and it's publishers. -
Graphics aint bad, AI are lil bit stupid but i like these kind rpg's
.
-
It's been really fun, so far.
I went Tech Specialist, using pistols. -

Kevin Jack, is it really like Mass Effect 2.0 with rpg espionage stuff? Is it very linear, meaning the same thing each time? If you have to restart a level are the bad guys always in the same spots? Thanks! StevenX

I saw the graphics and man, that looks like a 2005 game! Not looking too good with me. If you want espionage action, then play Splinter Cell Conviction, mark and execute is extremely fun!

From gamespot's website the game graphics wise in nothing special. Not sure about the actual gameplay in multiplayer, seems the AI is a bit dumb from their review.

I am still debating whether to buy this. I had it pre-ordered in August '09 but then they delayed it until the spring and I canceled.
It looked good at the demo I saw at E3 last year but with all the recent comments about the game, I have yet to buy it. -

Save your Money ** Alpha Protocol is a Joke ** been playing it for a few days now
Purchased the early release in Europe
It would have been Great if they fix the nasty "Mouse camera jumping bug"
I think im going to try Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction -

The game looked a lot more compelling at E3 2009 but the game was not yet finished.
I'll be passing on this. I am very disappointed, I was looking forward to it for a long time. -
I was also mildly excited for this title. The concept sounded interesting and I enjoyed Kotor 2 and NWN 2. However the middling reviews, and unimpressive graphics have convinced me to hold off until this hits the bargain bin.
Destructoid's review in particular is pretty entertaining.

More fun than Mass Effect 2. I think it's brilliant.
-
wow i was really looking forward to this.
now im probably not getting it anymore.
reminds me of those horribly stupid tom cruise mission impossibly movies -
so far its pretty decent, im glad i read this, i was expecting a GREAT game before i read this thread, then when i installed it and started playing i was pleasantly surprised. its not terrible, but i wouldn't say its better or as good as either mass effect game.

Once I figured out how to bypass the BS hacking sequences using EMP grenades, I'm having a blast with this game. It's no masterpiece of the genre, and it definitely wasn't worth $50 (more like 25 or maybe stretching it for 30), but I'm not completely unimpressed by it.
Edit: Oh yea, I can't understand why everybody is saying the graphics of this game are "lousy" or "dreadful". It's not Crysis(but then, what is?), but it's not like it's unpleasant to look at. As for the guy who said it looks like something from 1998, seriously?
