    ATI 79xx is suppose to use rambus xdr2 which has twice the bandwidth of ddr5...i'm excited.

    If it is actually mxm3.0b board and has lower power consumption it would be great card for M17x R2 to overclock with overclocked 920/940xm processor without needing to resort to dual power brick.

    If by rebrand you mean die shrink then yes but it will be a performance gain over said cards none the less, even if its small. These cards are going to have a lower TDP and hopefully more headroom. I have seen some different leaked specs that peg the 78xx cards as having the GCN architecture which isn't just a strait die shrink. Other leaked charts floating around out there have the mobile part and 78xx as VLIW4 so only time will tell. I think we will see a Radeon HD7000 desktop part by November but everything is just rumors right now.

    New DX build and new process technology = no renaming beyond the lowest cards from AMD.
