    Have you heard of Global Agenda? Unlike the others, this is more similar to Gunz in that it is a Massive Multiplayer third person shooter. It does go into first person view when you are sniping, but that's to be expected, other times it's third person.

    You should check it out. Perpetual world, so it has many MMORPG elements, just not the endless grinding and gear hunting.

    If you want to pay for it, the original Gears of War is available for Windows. I've never tried it online though.

    i second global agenda - it's an excellent 3rd person shooter with mmo elements.

    I used to play GunZ religiously, but the hackers and cheaters that ran rampant and unchecked in the game made it incredibly un-fun. There was zero mod support in banning, moderating, or otherwise policing the GunZ servers to prevent this.

    It was. Look for iiji I believe. But Huxley from what I've seen is primarily First Person.
