    The title really says it all, i'm just getting really into this kinda city-building, economy-managing, run-it-your-way kinda games, I was just wondering which would be better, i haven't downloaded any demos, i consider them junk

    settlers rise of an empire is settlers 5 right? its junk compared to settlers 4. but settlers 6 is coming out soon.

    i have never played anno 1701, but always notice it at the games joint. sorry to thread hijack, but i would like some opinions on this game also.

    Rise of an empire is #6 which is comin out next month, i can wait a month, time doesn't matter much to me on this matter, but there is a demo out for Settlers but i dont much want that kinda junk on my new 1720, so i was wondering if people strongly stood by one or the other or played both and had an opinion

    well settlers 6 looks awesome, and i will be getting it. do you have a link for the demo? if it isn't too big, i'll download it and tell you what it is like.

    its on the settlers website, gimme 10 minutes to find it again, i'm running back and forth to my laptop makin dinner so thats why it'll take so long but try settlers.com and thesettlers.com

    K, i think its over a gig and a half (thats too much to ask you to DL) but its on fileplanet.com if you feel like you want to anyway, its 1 tutorial map and 4 multiplayer maps, i like the time frame of settlers more but i think i'll like the gameplay of Anno a tad bit more :\

    oooh, thats a tad big when i only have a 2gb download limit. maybe someone else that is interested could download it.

    I played the demo, its pretty cool. Great graphics and nice gameplay. You can't save the game while playing the demo, so plan for a long sitting. It slowed down a bit on my machine on 1680 with everything max AF and AA.
