I took a break from gaming for a few months and when I started to play again in May my mouse would freeze for a few seconds while playing counter-strike source and also in 1.6(only games I play on my laptop). It will usually do it every 20 seconds. I have tried everything to fix it such as downloading drivers, changing settings, and reinstalling. I have a Dell XPS M1530. My mouse is a deathadder and I bought a new mouse(a g5) and it still has the problem. I am thinking it may be a hardware problem such as the battery or the motherboard, but the mouse is normal when I am not in game. Can anyone please help me!?

Do you see any setting called 3d mouse acceleration in the games?

This setting has something to do with the way your mouse detects and displays movement. Its usally defaulted to "on", sometimes it can cause problems. Try disabling it.
