Hey,
I bought a new laptop last week, an Amilo 2528. Fujitsu delivered it with Vista (the horror) so I replaced it with XP Pro. I installed some new drivers with this list and everything seemed to work fine.
This was before I started a game. When I decided to play a match in Fifa 08, the players moved like they were 80 years old. Not stuttering or something, just very slow, like slowmotion. Barely playable, that is.
I tried several drivers, first the official forceware from nVidia (didn't work), after that some drivers from laptopvideo2go.com (didn't work either), I googled like a maniac, but didn't found anything that really worked for me. I even reinstalled XP, but that didn't give a solution either.
I'm starting to think it's something else than my graphic card, but I'm just not sure. Anyone?
Edit: These are my specs, btw.

You provided some conflicting information. The first link you provided lists the GPU as the NVIDIA GeForce 8400m or 8600m. Then the PDF you linked to says ATi Mobility Radeon X1800. The PDF also lists the computer as the AMILO Xi 1546 / 1547. So is that PDF the wrong link?
Assuming that you have the Amilio 2528 with an NVIDIA GPU you can use laptopvideo2go.com ForceWare drivers. However, these drivers will not work for ATi GPUs. My guess the reason the drivers didn't work before is because you did not use the modded INF.
Read the QuickStart Guide and follow the Windows XP Installation Instructions.
I can't really recommend one driver over another as we have really different computers, but I will still tell you that I've had good results with ForceWare v163.44 XP 32-Bit.

Hello.
I have just run my xi2528 on windows XP and it worx times good than on Vista. All drivers are categorized on http://servbg.com/xi2528/
Currently working with them and all working (except some IR remote functions)
I post it here, because i spent a lot of time trying and trying to run XP on this machine. At last it works and i want to share it with you and maybe spend you time.
Hope there'll be better support from manufacturers on other OSes, not only M$.
Annoying problem Amilo 2528
