Omg Yes! Another Fallout 3 questions thread!
Hehe, anyways. I was looking at the game, and it looks good, but I am not sure if I would like it.
If you had to compare it, is it like Crysis, or Half Life 2?
Only reason I ask is Crysis is follow instructions, follow story line, kill things.
As to Half Life 2 (just started playing it) is more like follow instructions, follow story line, solve puzzles (i.e; having to move barrels under a under-water basket to move the ramp up), kill things. <-- I HATE games like that.
And since it is the 3rd Fallout, if I play this one, is it following a storyline that if I play it, I will get lost on what is going one? (i.e; Like Half Life 2)
Edit: Also, I was reading up on the system requirements, and the NVIDIA 8700 series wasn't listed in the Recommended specs. Does this mean with an 8700 Graphics card, it will struggle to run the game? Or does it even matter? Check Sig for systems specs.

From what I've seen, it looks like it's going to be a mix of Half-Life 2 and Oblivion (maybe not the best comparison, but I wanted to use a game you listed). The story line is going to play a huge part in fallout 3, and there will probably be a lot of questing.

questing? what is this lord of the rings..

The vid I saw got me interested. I see posts on this and the title is familiar now but I knew nothing of this game but the vid combat scenes remind me of Panzer Dragoon Saga the RPG on Sega Saturn where you pick where you target. Man That was an awesome role playing game now I'm really wanting to buy this.

If you don't like storyline don't buy the game. The Fallout franchise (albeit this one isn't made by the same company) is heavily based around storyline, character development and skill development. If you're saying you didn't like Half-Life 2 which didn't have even a quarter of the required involvement I'd say leave Fallout and go buy Dead Space.
