    I believe it's estimated for around August, there is no official date though. Since it's blizzard, might be August of next year :mad:

    It's hard to believe that. Blizzard has not announced a release date, not even a timeslot. They haven't even announced when beta is gonna be. Remember this is Blizzard we're talking about. They will not release it until they get it right. As of now, they are still constantly putting in/taking out units/abilities so it is impossible to say when it will be done.

    Well , dude, people have been testing SC2 for a while now. (beta)
    December is the most likely date for a release,even if it`s not official yet.

    Yeah they have been using their own game testers for a while. They have had events where only certain press and public were invited to play so they have good amount of the build done so december is possible. December is still half a year away.

    well yeah December is possible, and I would LOVE to see SC2 come out this year... but really, I do not see it happening. And they usually they have an open beta for their games, and since Blizzcon is in October, I'm betting the open beta will be sometime after that.

    And like I said before, they are constantly adding and removing stuff so each build they make can be drastically different than the one before it.

    Blizzard is so weird. They take forever to release stuff, then once their game hits the market, people play them for 10 years(ex: Starcraft I). I don't know of any other company that does this. I guess it is a good thing.

    WarCraft III was awesome.
    And WoW was great when I used to play it.
    All the Blizzard games I've played so far have been quality.

    Either way, even if sites have the pro-order set for December that doesn't mean anything. Until we hear the official release date from Blizzard then no one knows. And even when they do say it, things will probably come up and it'll be pushed back some.

    Before Blizzard, there was Westwood.. but after EA screwed it up.. it went down.. until recently it's back but not on the top of the list.

    They're doing internal testing right now...just as they've been doing for the last year+... I haven't heard (and I would) anything that says the game is in beta at all. Rumor (!) had the beta starting this summer but if that's the case I wouldn't expect to see anything until August.

    Plus they're making so much money with WoW that Vivendi hopefully won't be pushing for an early release like they did with WoW. So Blizzard may take their time and tweak SC2 to hell and back before releasing the game...I'd venture to guess Christmas might be possible, but I'm leaning more towards sometime in 2009.

    Blizzard came our with good quality games so i expect a good gameplay and strategy from Starcraft 2 . For me Starcraft 1 was awesome and i still find ppls to play it with me on LAN`s .

    Well the original release date for WoW was about 6 month ahead of the actual release date so i hope this isn't the same for SC2. On the other hand. I heard that the graphics and system req. for SC2 were going to be pretty demanding. Can anyone confirm?
