Any ARMA2 Players here???

Hey anyone else into this game?

I love the realism, but I feel the optimization as far as performance for this game was poorly done.

 

Arma2 is a tough one. You get some folks that post and show over 500 participants on servers. I never saw many myself. I think Arma2 is a cool concept. Meaning the concept of open worlds, real world weapons and outstanding details is great. The game just comes across as complicated, the engine is tough on even the most expensive of machines and for most it just never caught on. I like Arma2 for the single player. I gave up on multi a long time ago. It is a neat game. Just keep in mind it's a simulator. (slow pace, your fps may never get above 40fps)

One of my favorite games period!

I agree with the optimization too. Still they gave a good attempt at something on this scale and I'm sure it will only get better. I still have yet to get Operation Arrowhead which is apparently optimized better.

I enjoy the multi which was better populated before OA. Was really fun playing against the AI with 50 people on the server. Can't wait to get Arrowhead.

Another thing is that its PC only so sure the learning curve is steep but its great for me to play a PC Simulation of this scope and not a port over for a change!!

 

Yea I like MP better than single player.

But I find myself missing BF Desert Combat even more.
