Yes you can get them for the pc. They use the same controller as the xbox version.
-
Yes but apparently the PC version lags alot even on a high end machine

Thanks! -
Uh... Amazon? o.o If you're willing to order it online

I have GH3 , it does consume alot of graphx , but you just turn everything to low and put resolution to 800x600 and it works great for me , no lag !
One thing i do is shut down all the service and process that i don't need while playing ! -
where can i get free GH3 ?
-
Well idk about Guitar Hero, but I know they've made lots of PC keyboard free games such as Frets on Fire. You play that on your keyboard though(which you're supposed to hold sideways to "imitate" the guitar lol
)

http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/
You can also find songs pack for it on any good torrent site.( mods, feel free to delete this part of my reply if it's against the rules.) -
As mentioned, Frets on Fire is a feeware Guitar Hero-esque game. -
I don't know why people are saying the game performs badly even on high spec machines. I used to play GH3 on my 8700mGT sager in full 1920x1200 running a perfect 60FPS, all you have to know is that the first 40 seconds or so of the first song you play will glitch and go off track, just let that happen, then restart the song, and it shouldn't happen again until the next time you start up the game. I also play the game on both my single 8800GT and crossfire HD4850 desktops, and both play extremely well.
If you don't mind shopping online and waiting a few days to recieve it,
here's GH Aerosmith
And GH3 -
-
I second Frets on Fire, its not a bad take on GH and because of the large fan-base, you get lots of people configuring songs to work with it
-
Oh btw, there's a flash game I found that's just like GH, it's actually pretty fun since it works with my Rock band guitar after setting it up with Xpadder (here)
And here's the game.
I never could get into Frets on fire though, the game bored me, and it doesn't run on my Acer Aspire one even though it looks like it should.. -
meh... I want guitar heroes world tour... I want to annoy my roommate by singing.
-
GH world tour is STILL on the ESRB's listing, and Activision has known about it for months, normally it would be taken down within days if it was a typo. So it looks like it's going to be another intentionally delayed game much like GTA4.

i dont understand someone please explain to me what is so great about guitar hero i played it and i hated it
Is it really something only for a rock fan? I like old school hip hop but i dont think that has anything to do with it .....so whoever enjoys it what is it that you really enjoy? -
There was a review of Guitar hero for PC. It was a decent review, it said it performed poorly even on a decent machine. Also you cannot download more songs from the internet. Could be an old version of guitar hero IDK
but it put me off so i just bought one for an xbox. -
This is one of those games that you need to patch to death as soon as you install it. Out of the box, it performs quite bad, but patch 1.3 manages to add some optimization to where an X3100 can render it half-decent, of course with minimal settings.
-
is the link on the sourceforge.net for the frets of fire is a full game installer?
-
I have GH3 for PC and the thing is always out-of-sync just a tiny bit no matter what I do. May not seem like much to some but on expert it's a deal-breaker.
-
ive tried installing frets on fire and there is no problem but when i start on playing the gme and the screen loads for the notes and keys, the program will stop and will tell that bla bla bla for the keyboard. how can i play this game?
