Any Interested In Joining A Clan?

i was thinking of making a clan so we could meet up and play some games, just for fun. would anyone be intested in joining if i did create one?

the current games i have are F.E.A.R and Crysis, though i plan on getting some more, any ideas welcome

 

To have a successful clan you usually need your own server to host games.

 

thats what im looking into now.

aswell as creating a site.

update, well i found a place to create the website and its free
next is the sever, i wont bother buying it or anything until i have some confirmations, might add a donate button so that people can donate to help pay for the sever

its the server thats going to be the only thing that would have to be brought, ive only looked at a couple ranging from £5 a month to upto £500 a year.

i think the cheapest option would be a server that is open at certain times

would anyone be willing to donate towards a server if i made one? just to help pay for it.

i havent played a slow mo server, so i dont know maybe just a normal server

ill keep looking though

Why not join the NBR clan that is already on STEAM?

Hmm well I play 2142 and crysis wars.

 

Main difference between US and UK server hosting would mainly be ping. So an international clan isn't always the best thing because if the server is in the UK, then all those within or close proximity to UK would have much better pings than those from the US or vice versa.

whats crysis wars? EDIT: well i looked up crysis wars and it comes with Crysis Warhead, what i dont get is if it comes with warhead for free, why cant you just download that on its own instead of having to buy warhead. also i keep hearing that you have to pay each month to play crysis wars, is that true?

Battlefield 2 or maybe 2142, i dont really want to get both, but i guess it depends on the price if they are not too expensive then i may get both.

i was think for our clan it could be {DNA} but not sure what that could stand for, then our motto could be "Gaming Is In Our Blood"

right heres a list of the games i can get 2 of, which two should i get:

so which two should i get for gaming online with people.

 

You definitely need one of the Battlefields, although there will be a large argument in this community as to which one is better. Since you have 2 games to purchase maybe you should just get both!

i would also join, but the only games i really play online are COD4 and very rarely Crysis. but i do need a new game so maybe i'll get one of the Battlefields, thats if you get one and everything goes through.

i just had a game on a really hetic fear server, it was really good, i love the glass map

 

Well since I play 2142 and UT3 you should get those two . Think you should also sell crysis and get warhead. Crysis wars is a lot more fun than the original for multiplayer.

 

whats 2142 like? have you played BF2? is it better?

i was thinking of getting one of the BF games and Quake Wras, as i have played Wolfenstien : ET and i liked it, but QW should be better right? iwth better graphics, weapons ect

 

I haven't played bf2 in a while, but I think 2142 is much better. Mostly because you are rewarded for being a squad member when you follow orders, like taking over control points. That rewards results in field upgrades and for beginning players thats pretty nice to have. You can buy the combo back directly from EA and use the EA download program to download the game and install it.

i might send some PM's to those thatsaid they were interested just to check that they still are first my just have the clan website and join servers like that until we are ready to go ahead and set one up our selves. i think i should only be like a £1.00 a month if we split it as the palce i found it was like £10 per month, but thats just one game and we could increase that when more members join. all members that contribute would be given powers above the non-paying members, admin rights on the website / forum and on the server aswell.

 

Deluxe edition gives you the northern strike expansion. Off the top of my head that gives you another 10 possible upgrades in the upgrade tree as well as some additional maps. I've been playing for almost a year, but I'm not playing any games online at this moment though, because I forgot to order a decent wifi card when I ordered my desktop parts from newegg, =/ using a ancient d-link dongle to just get online, so I probably won't be online gaming for another week or so.

 

by everything goes through i mean if you end of getting a server and all that. i don't know what which one i'd get, that depends on if you get the whole server and everything set up and buy one.

I'm down for a COD4 clan. I haven't played FEAR in almost a year now, so I'm pretty rusty. Other than that, I'm part of the TF2 "clan" on Steam.

I'd have to charge for the server, but it would be 10pounds or euros a month. It'd be less.

Crysis Wars (when i get it)
COD 4 (when i get it again)

plus some others

i have to get COD4 again as mine keeps saying my serial is in use. i havent gotten TF2 yet, but i plan on getting the Orange Box.

well once i have some more people willing to pay towards it then ill get one set up. it will most liky be about a £1 a month, £1.50 max. as i found a place that does it for £10 for 10 slots so if we get more people to contribute we can upgrade to a bigger server with more people and have more servers for more games as well

but at the moment until i have some confirmations on who would be willing to contribute it will most likly be just getting together on other servers and playing.

sounds good, but the duluxe pack is £20 on its own, the other games i mentioned are 2 for £25 and i dont really want to spend all my loan on games. i have food to buy as well oh the joys of living on your own

COD4 private : 0.90p
COD4 ranked : £1.00
Crysis : £1.00
Battlefield 2 unranked : £1.25
Battlefield 2142 unranked : £1.25

and to get our own website it would be £12 a year, i would be happy to pay for this, but anyone willing to contribute to this aswell would become an owner / admin for the site
this would for the following: Silver Web Hosting - 500 mb space, 5gb data transfer, 10 Mysql, 10 Email address's, 10 subdomains but it seems you can get the following for the same price: Platinum Web Hosting - 1gb space, 15gb data transfer, Unlimited Mysql, Unlimited Email address's, Unlimited subdomains maybe its a mistake, im not sure we would have to check it out but we dont really need our own domain as well could make one free from sites, we jsu twont get some of the benefits

an update, i tried the BF2 demo but im not too sure about it what other game modes does the game have? i do however like all the vehicles that you can use, execpt all the flying ones are really hard to control
