So I'm as new as they come to PC gaming. Im looking for some good games, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Personally, I love shooters. Especially if its multiplayer, I have yet to play ANY multiplayer games on a PC. I do enjoy all types of games so don't just recommend shooters. The computer I'm using is in my sig, thanks!!!

orange box, left 4 dead, mirrors edge, red alert 3, crysis, bioshock, demigod, sins of a solar empire, the witcher, mass effect, assassins creed, cod 4.

for multiplayer you should definiely try team fortress 2. ive really gotten into it this month, my new favorite game. also counter strike is really good. i perfer it for deathmatch style games but i love team fortress 2 for payload/capture point games.

If you fancy an Rts then Company of Heroes and it's addon's Opposing Front's and Tales of Valor are great and look amazing to boot. Also Dawn of war 2 is really nice and World in conflict. For shooter's everything already mentioned really. Left for dead is just brilliant and highly addictive.

As a matter of fact I was a big time console player, xbox 360. I am a huge fan of the G.R.A.W., CoD, and GoW franchises. So anything similar to those and I'm there. But...Just because I enjoy shooters doesn't mean I don't play other games, I also own Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey. Im just naming those two to show a "range" in what I enjoy playing.
Right now I'm busy playing Dead Space and Crysis, I swear I haven't touched my 360 in days (which is rare in me).

Team Fortress 2 is the most fun I've ever had in a multiplayer shooter, ever.

    Also, Unreal Tournament 2004.

Half-Life 2. I recently only played on consoles as well, so I missed out on this gem even though I heard it was amazing. Then I was deployed to Afghanistan so gaming on my laptop sort of became a necessity.

If you're a shooter fan and like sci-fi, you owe it to yourself to play Half-Life 2. It's 5 years old, but the graphics are still awesome.

Warhead is the prequel, just as fun you play as nomad.

Actually they both occur at the same time, just from a different perspective.

I would personally choose Crysis though.

Did you play Half-Life 2 yet?

Edit - Also, you're going to be missing one of the big drawing points of the Crysis games on your system...graphics.

Crysis was released first, it follows the story from the perspective of Nomad.
Crysis Warhead follows the story from the perspective of Psycho, it was released later so it definitly performs better, some say it looks better too.
(personally I don't see much of a difference, if there is one I would say Crysis maybe looks slightly better, but then again I havn't seen either on max settings).

I would say which one to get really comes down to your preferred gameplaying style.
Naturally how one plays is completly up to the player, but I would say Crysis is designed a little more stealthy, night time infiltration, silenced weapons, that sort of thing.
Crysis Warhead is more run and gun, Psycho is a more violent character while Nomad is more subtle, so more shotgun to the face than silenced assault rifle to the back.
Plus in Warhead you can dual wield SMGs ^^

Hope that helps, they are both great games so you can't really go wrong : )

After the last level in Crysis?

    Spoiler

Thats were you are on the ship and fight the massive alien...Psycho actually comes and picks you up, then they fly away.
Crysis Warhead occurs at the same time as Crysis, remember how they were split up and assigned different missions?

Well I'll play both of them since I purchased the Crysis Maximum Edition, which includes both crysis and the multiplayer (which I've been told is not that good). My friend also convinced to buy Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition. Then when I took my friend to the bookstore they had Mirror's Edge and Prince of Persia, so I picked them up both for $10.
So I doubt I'll be touching my xbox for a long time.

    Thanks for the recommendations!!!
