Well Open Beta is coming up you can try to apply for it, or if you pre-order the game you get a code to get you in guaranteed.

I have the original guild wars game, I may give it another shot since its free to play but I could not get more than a couple of hours into it before I decided I did not like it.

I liked it. But there were TONS of glitches I saw. I'm hoping they fix them for the final release. It was really fun, expecially the PvP. Pubic Quests are great too. If they just fix the glitches I'll be a happy camper.

The glitches I saw was the enemy standing in 1 place or even running away before soming in to hit me while I was shooting lead at the head. I saw 2 characters with dimented hands with 6 foot long fingers, lol. They went back to normal after. Also some glitches like twice my gun wouldn't show up in my hand, stayed at my side, yet I could somehow use gun attacks with my sword. I also opened the character screen only to see him in the mounted position... with no mount :D

Other than that, I loved the gameplay. I'm a former FFXI player and this is looking much better. Although I miss FFXI combat :(

I was going to be a Shadow Warrior (reminiscent memory's of my Ranger from FFXI) but I read about the horrible delay on projectile's and changed my mind so I am looking to be a caster now probably. I also like the "dark" side more but apparently the chaos side out numbers the order side in every poll and server so far and I do not want to be on the dominant side so I will have to go order probably to help the underdogs, for the order side the Witch Hunter seems pretty darn cool. Vampire Hunter D kinda style looks with the game play similar to that of a WoW rogue.

I do not like how all classes look the same, I prefer how WoW lets the same model be multiple classes and really there is a huge lack of character options so I am afraid that may also lead to certain classes being more played than others just based on looks.

Also the 20 classes thing is a lie IMO, since nearly half of them are the same class mirrored.

I wonder what the system requirements will be. Conan was really unoptimized. I could never have fun with that game due to the high requirements.

Its very close to WoW right now, but they have a very bad texture render cutoff and loss of animation at a distance so I think the graphics are better up close but due to those two things the system demand is nearly equal.

If they fix those things it should only be slightly harder than war. I think the 8600gt should handle it like a champ, thats the most common mid range card now I think. I am pretty confident the 9700gt in my G50 can max it out at native, if not I will drop it to 1280x800 and max it out.

AoC is more of a high end desktop game if you want to max it out, but the graphics are leaps and bounds better, but its a totally different style. Warhammer is like a newer WoW in my opinion.

well, in low traffic areas my 8600 got 40-60 fps in high quality and max resolution. Although I had to bump the resolution down to get more than 10 fps during public quests where 50 spells are going off at once lol. I would really hope that they give you more graphics options, and have a longer distance before textures become blurry. I'd also like to remove the loss of animation all together. Looks horrible.

my dual 4850s will laugh at WAR, the loss of animation I dont know if thats a bug or intended. Having more animation is not going to make graphics processing harder that could only be there to reduce netcode and the load on there server I think.

The server would have to send out less updated coordinates on player animation and location thats my guess.
