Geez... what was the name of the game... Anachronox. Look for that one and give it a try.

Morrowind was one that I really liked, although it's a couple of years old now.

Yeah, esp with all the expansions for morrowind you could play that for a while. Another one that is also online is Never Winter Nights.

Knights of the Old Republic is a great Role Playing Game, also Morrowind. Yes it is a couple years old but the game still has amazing graphics and is huge, there are tons of quests and you can play for literally hundreds of hours, the game world is that huge.

Ummm Baldurs Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights... I believe Final Fantasy 7 is sold on PC but it might be hard to find in stores now. You would probably have to look for it online.

    Well hope that helps.

    mind the gap

There is rather a large difference between 'original' rpgs and 'modern' rpgs. Some popular original rpgs are all final fantasies except eleven. Neverwinter nights is an example of a modern rpg. Personally I could never get into modern rpgs but I have a large collection of originals. To answer the original question:

If your talking about original rpgs then I'm afraid you'll stuggle to find many on the pc. They were mostly on consoles and recently have been limited to japan with delayed western releases. Anachronox is pretty good, has dated graphics (modified quake 2 engine), is very funny, but is difficult to find in stores.

If your talking about modern rpgs then there are hundreds with many many more coming in the future. I not sure about the good or bad ones as I don't like them.
