I'm guessing anything we would mention is in here

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Western_video_games

Outlaws was fantastic, but it's old now.. I'd say it was the best until RDR came along. I will admit I haven't played Gun yet. There's an outlaws hl2 mod but I've never tried that either.

I can still hear ”Where are you Marshall!?" In my head.

Edit: the outlaws music is also fantastic.

I wonder if Disney now owns the rights to Outlaws since they got Lucasarts in the acquisition. It would be awesome if they did something with it to bring it back.

Did you try Fallout New Vegas? I'd say it's a Western.

Same with Borderlands 1 and 2, in a steampunk/sci-fi sort of way ;)

Red Dead Redemption is definitely your best choice, shame it's only on the xbox. Call of Juarez is a good one too.

Yeah, RDR would be pretty cool on PC as long as Rock* didn't screw it up like they did with GTAIV.

You could buy an Alienware laptop or other with HDMI-in, then connect your PS3/Xbox to that, and a converter to the console så you can use keyboard+mouse for controls.

    Problem solved :D

clarification: you may need a converter for your Xbox 360 but not PS3. I wasted time trying to find a converter big enough for my PS3 while it turn out to be able to use all kind of wattage you can throw at it.

I have it on Steam, but haven't bothered to d/l it. I heard it was a bad port it terms of features (framerate locked at 30 fps maybe?) but GTA IV was friggin awful on my 7970m.

It's a shame that RDR was a console-only release (typical of Rockstar). Also a shame that there aren't any decent working Xbox emulators as well. Yeah, LA Noire was poorly optimized - a shame since it was a pretty decent game. I guess the best game by Rockstar (optimized for PC that is) was Max Payne 3. I had no problems running it when it came out last year. GTAIV was just awful when it released.
