I mean really, I haven't had enough yet! It is always such a joy to come to this good ole NotebookReview forum to catch up on the latest crapola put out about the latest crapola platforms. Saves me the time of going to the other crapola platform sites to learn the latest crapola.![]()
Seriously, can this stuff go in "off topic" or maybe make a new category if there is THAT much interest? Understandably, their would be hybrid exceptions, but IMO, this ain't the place for Mario, Ratchet, and Gran Tourismo. Just clutters up the place.

I agree, they should all be moved to OT, or should be placed in a definitive e3 2009 thread. The amount of threads started (by one poster) is a bit absurd
-
I usually move console threads to OT, but I'm considering making an E3 thread and adding a bunch of stuff to the first post.
Suggestions/thoughts/objections? -
Thanks for the attention crash...either/or is a good idea. Probably E3 thread since it is that time and all.
-
I would just say a e3 2009 Console news thread, and let the PC threads continue in different threads if needed, since they are on topic.
-
That's a good idea. I can have links to the PC threads in there too as a reference. I'll probably do this later tonight.
-
agree there is too much spam/threads about console games, maybe putting all in one e3 thread instead of having a thread per each game ever made
-
Thanks for the quick response. NBR mods FTW!

What a maroon! You know what they say if you don't like it don't click on it
Anyways, here is MY Idea we should break it down but do it like this
Official Sony E3 09 Thread
Official Nintendo E3 09 Thread
Official Microsoft E3 09 Thread
Do it like that that way we could put DS and Wii in one
PS3 and PSP in one and Xbox and PC in one, does that sound like a good idea or what? -
I honestly think it should just be a console thread. Three major threads dedicated to consoles, isn't really necessary on a notebook forum.
-
Possibly banning Red Dragon might solve some problems
. Kidding, keep it up man!
I think you should just leave it. by the way. tht is all. -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Thats the problem though Xnii, you cannot search the topics anymore i think they disabled it, can you imagine how much of a pin it would be with everyone talking about different games plus people looking in the threads for trailers? Lol
Narsnail you dog
Good Wookie gives wookie a cookie
-
Well the thing is, I highly doubt people are coming to NBR to find news on console games announced at e3. That is why I think it is pointless to have multiple threads. Substantial coverage of console games at e3 doesn't really fit NBR's niche.
-

i guess its debatable i mean we have an automotive and political forum and this is a gaming forum i still stand by my idea though
-
Why precisely do we need multiple threads that can be served by one?
This is NotebookReview. Not ConsoleReview. One thread unified for E3 console news should be how it is handled. -
I agree. I'll create one dedicated E3 console thread.
-
Alright I made a thread here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=4915978#post4915978
I'll go through the last two or so pages of posts and add things to the first post that are noteworthy. If there is something you'd like to see in the first post, just let me know. -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
put in those topics i made that had the wii blockbusters, ps3 and 360 they are easily identifiable.
-
I don't understand what you mean. Do you want me to identify which platform each game is for?
-
Would you like some cheese with your whine?
This forum section is described as " Talk about games and mobile graphics cards here" and there have been plenty of threads about console games and gaming with them overall in the past.
E3 itself is the biggest gaming expo of the year, if you're too heartbroken to see consoles getting all the love then click on page 2 to get your daily dose of " is this graphic card better than that?" or " why doesn't this game run?" threads. -
To be fair, we generally move console (and console-only games) discussion to OT instead of keeping it in the Gaming section since this is a PC forum after all. It seems reasonable to me to have an E3 console thread in the Gaming forum, so that's what I did.
-
What a NOVEL idea. That's probably why I DON'T click on it. As I said before, just clutters the landscape.
Would you like some crow with that foot(in your mouth)? I call your attention to crash's statement below. However, I also ammended your post to what I infer when I open this category. *FACE PALM* Now, where would I ever get that idea???
If we're talking hybrids or ported games that overlap the platforms and include the PC, then there certainly shouldn't be a problem with that.
Again, thanks for the attention crash. It will probably get buried, but it's the thought that counts. -
When I see a new thread about consoles I'll just add it to the E3 thread, it's not that big of a deal. You guys could help by reporting a console thread as well
-

Im backing Akuma 100% here all the thread's i posted people really enjoyed anyways, it is fixed now as they all have been put in an official thread.
My NOVEL idea is pretty good eh Hover? If you dont click why do you complain.....i dont understand? Even though it clutters itlll go away eventually. -
Well, the fact remains that console stuff really belongs in OT here at NBR, however I'm willing to make concessions for a special event
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Ok thank you
-
Here is another NOVEL idea, and I recommend this in all seriousness, especially since there is the opinion that folks DO seem to enjoy the topic. There are NBR companion sites that seem to be doing fairly well. Maybe they could add another one for consoles and you could volunteer to be a mod for that one.
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Hey thats actually a good idea!!! No kidding either, if they ever decide to do that i would love that! Make me Admin instead you're a genius hover!
-
Bad idea to have just a console thread, I could imagine the flame wars XD
Some of you just don't think of the outcomes
We'll see how it goes then... -
It's not so much for the consoles themselves, but for the games that are console-only.
And this thread is past it's usefulness. Thread closed.
Any more console & portable news?
