I'm writing because I'm really so sad with this. Every nvidia verde release since 195.62 is causing me the same issues:

    Problem n. 1:
The error " Display driver stopped responding and was recovered." Happens randomly. The clock settings are then locked to "2D low power" profile.

    Problem n. 2:
The driver sets 3D clock settings most of the time even in Windows. With just few programs opened (maybe opera, outlook and few others) the clocks are at maximum speed, causing noise and heat. I can post the GPU-Z log to prove this. Never had this problem with 195.62 release. The strange is, as I select the "Sensors" tab in GPU-Z, the clock settings return to slow 2D mode!

    Problem n. 3:
I have a 32 inch LCD tv connected to VGA out all the time. I usually use only the notebook monitor. Quite randomly (but often when I open nvidia control panel) the driver sets the clone mode automatically :(.

Of couse this happens also with a clean install. Windows 7 x64, GT 240M. Any idea and help really appreciated.

    Thanks :( :(
