I ordered it the other day from deepdiscount.com they had it for the wii for 38$ shipped was a great deal but I guess they didn't update the inventory on there main page so I just noticed on my confirmation email that the item is out of stock.

I am going to cxl the order with them and go buy it at wally world for a few dollars more. I just wanted to see who has played this game and I wonder why I never heard of it before. It seems like a really good Zelda type game and since Zelda is so popular I cant believe Okami was not on must have list everywhere.

It was on PS2 and just now its on Wii, I found it on the Wii section at gamespot when looking up mario kart wii information, then after reading the review I hoped on youtube and watched some gameplay videos and from what I saw I will like this game very much! Reminds me of wind waker (controversial zelda game I know, but I think most agree that actually played it that it was a good game)

Also anybody have/played No more heroes? I got that one on the way too from ebay and should get it today I think.... looks like a fun game worth a play thru too.

I've rented Okami once on ps2, and it was a great game.
The visuals had a nice painting style to it, and the ability to draw with the joystick/wii-mote is creative. I've never played a zelda game (its pretty sad) so I cant comment on whether or not its like a zelda game. =]

The cool thing with Wii is you paint with the wiimote instead of an analog stick so its faster and feels more like your actually painting. Nevermind I see you said that and somehow missed it first time I read thru your post, its bed time :x

I'm pretty sure Okami won quite a few awards and was on almost every gaming publications best of (2006?) list. I bought Okami for the PS2 when it first came out and I liked it. It has a great art style and plays alot like a Zelda game. Kinda free-roaming, simple but progressing fighting, and decent story. Having said all that for some reason I never beat the game and I didn't realize that it had been released for the Wii, prolly re-play it on the PS2 anyway.

I actually own Okami on wii, and I have to say I love it! If you like games like Zelda I highly recommend it. Nothing I say here hasn't been repeated several times in reviews, but its a good looking game, good story, and the gameplay is fun.

Also Okami didn't receive alot of attention due to lack of advertisement, and being overshadowed by the release of several big games - mostly Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess.

I have Okami on the PS2 and I rank it as one of the best games I have ever played. It's just sad that such original, artistic games get little press and little attention even though they blow so many other games out of the water.

The storyline I thought was gripping. It just keeps getting deeper and deeper and like any good story, makes you care about the characters. The soundtrack is unbeatable, but that's what you get with eastern (japanese games). They focus more on art and story. At least moreso than western style games who seem to focus more on graphics and action.

It's on my list to try....

    But first...

Resident Evil Chronicles! Because I love killing zombies. Almost as fun as killing beer!

Yeah, but RE:C spans Res Evil 0,1,2 and 3... Retells the whole Umbrella story. It's been so long since I've played the originals, I don't remember much.

And HotD never much impressed me in the arcades.

My friend told me No More Heroes is a must buy....

FIY... I use gamefly for most of my console games. Except I did buy RE4 and Raving Rabbids 2...
