I`d like some users to go ahead and try them and report back, since they are sort of NOT hacked .
I am in the driver changing fever and I`d like to see if they do anything better than older drivers.
I`ll report back later on.
-
Lol. So you want people to try BETA drivers to see if it messes their system up?
-
Have you had a look at this site. http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ This is where I get all my drivers from. I would suggest you have a good lokk at what people are saying about all the different drivers. Then try them yourself as drivers that work good for one particular person do not work so well for another. Even on the "same" hardware.
Just to let you know. My favourite drivers at the moment are 174.16. These give me good performance and a stable temperature. -
I guess you guys don`t follow the thread about the drivers from laptopvideo2go.com
Some gain performance, some don`t,some mess up control panel and OCing, others give weird artefact.
I`ve tried, let`s see, 169.04, .12, .21, .28, .44 , 171.12, .16, 174.12, .16 . So I pretty much now how all laptopvideo2go.com drivers behave. i`m just trying to see if Nvidia`s are any better.
And stop worshipping laptopvideo2go.com, the drivers they hack come from nvidia in the first place.
So , anybody willing to chip in? It`s not going to kill you -
Why would Nvidia's drivers be any better considering they are the exact same drivers you find on Laptopvideo2go.com?
Plus, if you select an 8 or 7 series GPU it is going to stick you with 169 drivers which most people here seem to have dropped for 174.
Either way, I just select the good old fashioned stable WHQL drivers 169.25. No reason to update unless you are playing Crysis.
But hey, if you are still in the mood to give feedback, by all means be adventurous. -
Well, they`re not any worse than other drivers.
Crysis seems to be 1-2 fps behind 169.44 .
All other games report similar performance.Allows OCing also.
But as a fps freak as I am ,I`m reverting to 169.44 .
Anybody willing to try NVIDIA`s beta drivers?
