Looks like it might be ok.. Destructive environment. Multiplayer with 1st and 3rd person. Cheap... Relatively small install...
Thoughts anyone?

I plan on it for sure. $15 isn't bad at all.
-
Oh mean! never heard of it before, thanks for sharing. Just watched a youtube vid on it, the programmers also do simulations for the US military. Looks to be a great competitor against BFBC2! I'll get it for $15, but were? On Steam?
-
I may have to get it. That looks great. Gee, even has leaning, hello DICE? You watching? System requirements aren't crippling, doesn't seem to have the blinding bloom effects, and you can see the reflection on the sniper scope! Cool. Gee, sounds like someone said "we can do better than BC2 with half the system requirements". I guess we'll see how well it fares.
-
Yea it just popped up on the coming soon list one day for me haha
But I've never heard of it.. So I'm not sure.. Does anyone have more details on this game?? -
Wow Just watched the trailer and I'm amazed
I love it's gadgets and the destructive environments. I hope that like the walls gets destroyed where you hit it instead of having a scripted destruction like in Battlefield.
-
It doesn't have a price yet on Steam, is the $15 that someone else mentioned in this thread correct? If so, I'll probably pick it up. I need a break from BC2 anyways.
-
it looks nice! I might pic it up after I get paid
-
!! When is this game being released! It's been saying "This game will unlock in approximately 1 hour" for... 1 hour!!
-

Direct2drive code works on steam.. same thing apparently. When you install the game it activates it on steam..
StevenX -
now it's up on steam.
-
Interested, but I don't know if I should get it since BC2 is still filling my shooter needs.
-
Looking forward to reviews here if it's as good as it sounds. If it's even remotely close to BC2 in gameplay and fun factor without the issues, it'll be more than worth it.
-
Just woke up, checked Steam it's available for $11.99, I'm downloading right now. It uses Physx so i'm interested in seeing how they implemented it. I was always wondering how BFBC2 would have performed if the developers used Physx, since it's such a well designed game. Hopefully Breach has a great design concept too, even though it doesn't seem they implemented vehicles to use.
Here's an interview with the games developers on the topic of Physx.

Wow, $11.99 until 2/1/11. I guess I'll still wait to see initial reviews. It could still be complete crap and don't feel like wasting $12.

1st hour review... (posted in the breach forums earlier by me)
a. Game is fun so far. Pace is good.
b. Weapons may need balancing. M60 is a prime culprit.
c. Mouse seems a little "soft" or "floaty". Meaning I have a 5000dpi alienware tactx gaming mouse. No matter what setting I use it seems a little floaty. Vsync is not enabled. Dont know why. No option to remove mouse acceleration. No idea on cause.
d. Need more graphic options.
e. Servers? What company is providing the dedicated servers?
f. Found a glitch with ATI 11.1 drivers. If I remove the tessellation controls on the CCC panel the maps all look like one big sky. Regardless of which one I choose they look like I am floating. No building, ground or anything else. Weird.. Very weird.
All in all, just plain ol' fun. Lots of potential here. A great buy at 11 bucks if we can keep people playing.

No thanks then. -
Well, are you rhetorically saying no dedicated servers or are you just wondering why there are so few? Or something else?
-
There's some useful info on the Breach Forums
Dedicated Servers
Reviews
I think I'll skip this unless they get all the issues sorted by the end of the steam promo. -
nvm it seems like there are dedicated servers.
-
Ok I know I haven't "learned" the game yet so after about half an hour into it, I started to get the hang of the game mechanics and after getting some kills I can tell it has the formula to be fun like COD series.
First of all having downloaded the game and installing it I went to settings and set graphics to max. Control settings was easy enough and it also supports XBox 360 controller, so I tried to use the same mapping I use for both BFBC2 and COD, although it doesn't have an option to toggle your aim, -
Sooo, any updates on it? Worth $12? Is it anything like Bad Company 2?
-
It doesn't look like it's trying to be like BC2 at all, here's a quick look:

Thanks. Are there many servers up? From that video seems there weren't many servers.

Here's the Eurogamer review:

Looks like I'm keeping my money. -
In the video they mentioned the game hadn't been release yet
-
Will my PC be able to run it? These are my specs:
2.2 GHz Core2Duo
4 GB RAM
128 mb 8400m G graphics card -

Omni - your cpu is enough I dont know about your video. There's not many video options for optimization.
All - I am disappointed in this release. I have had the game for 4 days and I can't even connect to a session at all. I have posted and I know they are reading the posts and working on it. Ironchefchen seem's really nice on the BREACH forums. I know they are trying and I know it's tough for independent releases. I try to support them when I can... I wish I could provide more feedback about the game but I can't even play it as it stands...
So once they get the bugs worked out I will provide more info.
Best Wishes,
StevenX -

I can run TF2 on lowest settings and at 1024x768 resolution. I get fairly playable FPS--around 30 but it does dip sometimes. So I'm just wondering if my lappy can handle this game.
And I totally agree about the demo.
Anyone Buying BREACH tomorrow?
