You will definitely like this game, it has the best graphics for sucj a small size, many maps, and a lot of players.

Genre is FPS. CS1.6 like, if anybody try to ask.. (well.. i was gonna but i guess i better google myself..) will download.. but not sure if i can play (since my internet is even more terrible than 56k modem)

 

Played this for about two hours in a row. I came across with many bugs (guys running through walls, players unable to spawn, etc...). I only saw one cheater during that time, running in godmode with infinite grenades. Still it's ok shooter for such a small download size, but I can't say I enjoyed it much even though I got along pretty well. Maby I'm just too fond of this other, a lot more advanced free FPS game, FEAR Combat, which I play regularly.

 

I realize it's an independant game, extremely small, and isn't made to compete against other FPS's.

But there's just so many issues, and so many better free FPS's out there.
People run too fast, weapons are awkward, the way you control the menu is annoying, and it's just overall unfun.

Cube 2 reminds me of quake. hmm i did not know HL2 DM was free. i got to try that later. thanks.

 

AssualtCube may be lacking in features and graphics, but the community is excellent. Also it's open source.

 

It has a very good community, though there may ba a few bugs and the occasional People in God mode(this is not a cheat just a bug, I myself experienced this quite a few times already, there is still a player who has the ability to kill you)

It is still a great game to play
