So if the game is shaping up to be a post apocalyptic Oblivion (not that I'm complaining, I loved Oblivion-with the right mods), will the enemies also adapt to the player's level? That's pretty much my main concern right now

If they mod in some iron sights and make the killing portion of the game challenging it should be good.
-
i think the game will be fun, i love Urban futuristic games
-
if they dont mod it someone else will, too many people want iron sights, its practically a requirement these days (or should be anyway); how can you have some sort of realism when you cant even look down the sights of your weapon

Gonna take me awhile to read the 5 page review =/ . Hopefully it corresponds with the score. -
EDIT:Just watched the video review... Is it just me or the graphics weren't as good as I was expecting...The gameplay seems to be really good though according what they say.
-
Maks, the read is worth it. I am totally pumped now I can't wait. As soon as midterms are over im dedicating a week to this game

Looks boring, graphics look bad, kinda like UT3's graphics but with low res textures. I think I'll wait for some non-biased reviews from actual players. Oblivion also looked bad both in gameplay and graphics in screenshots to me, but it turned out to be really fun, so I guess I'll just wait til more people start chugging out user reviews tomorrow before making a buy decision.
I also agree that GTA IV was dissapointing on the xbox360, definately not deserving of a perfect score, the mere fact that the game ran on average under 20fps was reason enough, but that it was a short game, and nothing really new.. -
gonna check this game out
-
It actually looks fun as hell. It's just some of the visuals look a bit lazy. Especially for those of us recently spoiled by Dead Space, Crysis, and Far Cry 2 visuals.
-
you were spoiled by farcry 2?
-
Well, its a 93 on metacritic as I type so can't be THAT bad... especially considering how some reviewers are so hyped up on visuals
-
personally i don believe the reviewers....at all
its a conflict of interest; most games get rated far higher than they should be
the only honest reviews ive ever head were some on gamespot's user reviews section; start from the 1.0 and work your way up to 5.0 to get some real insight into how good a game is
EDIT: gamespot deletes half of the bad user reviews, talk about impartial! -
installing it right now.

on the game, it looks more Grey than Gears of war xD -
I'll post up a review this afternoon/evening after I finish work and fire it up.
Do I have bad premonitions? Of course! Did I pre-order it anyway? Hell yes! I think when it comes down to it, yes it won't have the same feel as the old Fallout games, but if you looked at the Van Buren project demo the game looked EXACTLY the same...We don't simply want a rehashed Fallout 2 (albiet the whole ***, drugs, hookers and random beatings were always entertaining) but something new and fun.
While it annoys me slightly that the game seems more tailored towards console players that's (unforunately) the way games are headed nowadays. And I personally thought Oblivion and Morrowind weren't that good I still got pre-ordered it anyway. You know why? Because its Fallout baby
...dream a little dream of me
Anyone else got a bad feeling about Fallout 3?
