I'm a fan of the series and the genre in general, so I got this game and decided to give it a try. The thing that bothers me the most (and it eventually led me to stop playing) was that when walking/running around, the mouse is way too sensitive, and when aiming/turning, the sensitivity is nowhere near enough... Anyone else experience this problem?

The mouse seemed fine to me, mind u i plugged in my controller and used that, i usually prefer mouse and keyboard, but the controller was really useful on this game.

I do not have that problem using my Sidewinder set at 2000 DPI.

You can set the sensitivity? Though, the way the game was designed your character's are still clunky as hell.

Yeah, the sensitivity can be tweaked but i'll still feel weird. What you ought to do is pick up a cheap (25$) or so Xbox wired controller and just use that; it's really much better for this game, even though I prefer mouse/kb on most shooters.

Not a bad game, the UI is a bit weird and date looking...and it took awhile to get used to the 3rd person and clunky movement. And having to find ammo is annoying coming from a regular FPS background lol. The online Co-Op is a lot of fun, but it's weird that there's no mic or chat support (that I could find)?

Loved the game. Played RE 4 a while back, so the controls are alright in my book.

It's fun to play co-op too, especially on higher difficulties.

Hmmm I just can't decide as to wether or not to buy resi 5 for pc or 360? mind you my laptop specs Lol.. however even at 19-25 frames set to highest (1280 x 800) details the game'll play well (typically you don't need 60 fps for most of capcoms games to have fun). so what do you think? Pc or 360 on this one?

Get it for PC, i've had it on the 360, PC version is MUCH better...

You've got the same GPU as me, mind you mine is GDDR3, but, it runs 50 FPS+ for me, all settings high, no aliasing though.

ignore the benchmark tool on it, i done that and got worse fps than i do actually playing the game.

Thnx for that junglebungle okay I'll get it for pc... I typically get 30fps on the benchmark, I wasn't thinking when typing, Hmmm, though I really should buy a wireless adaptor for my pc eh (no wired usb ones available anymore)... Or is the keyboard/mouse combo good?

Both are good, i prefer the gamepad on this game, although i prefer mouse/keyboard on most games... but something about this game that makes me like the gamepad more.

I'm playing mine on a 9300M GS at about 20-25fps (crappy lol) but it kicks, even if I have to keep up with the RE-4-ish graphics, the game pretty much compensates for it. The only thing bothering me is how hard it is sometimes to open/close the inventory screen ESP when there are hordes of zombies rushing (lol I've been hit with my inventory open once too often), but the mouse really doesn't bother me.. I just hope the game lets you strafe while aiming... :p

Use the number keys on you're keyboard, saves you going into the inventory, quick slots :)

I have this game too. I use my PS360 controller for it. It plays fine on my Vaio Z even with all settings at max.

If you're really a fan of the series, you'll friggin' enjoy the game, I mean, man, I enoyed it so much...
Specially if you liked the RE4 over-the-shoulder gameplay...
Now, the Mouse, thats somehting that took me a while to get... but eventually I got the hang of it...
I'm a big UT3 player, and sensitivity is something I abuse of, now, RE5 made me lower the sensitivity, but because of the slow-paced nature of the game.
A mouse will do. Keyboard + Mouse works..

    Spoilers:
I've gotten over 80,000 in Mercenaries mode :), so that's enuff to say that Mouse + Keyboard works for me.

Good game, good optimization (hell, runs on my 8600mGT), well, enjoyable experience, not to mention the LULZ on LAN mode :)

Only gripe might be the inventory... friggin thing always makes me get stck sometimes when.. ughbut that just elevates the adrenaline levels :D.

I'm on a laptop without a numpad which I figured would be more handy, so effectively I could only use 1-3, but when I need ammo from Sheva or whatnot, then blam! lol

You can say that again. Hahaha.

Too bad I don't have friends who enjoy this game as much as I do so no LANning lol
