I have had this habit lately of playing all of my games on my laptop (1680x1050) in a window of about 1366x768 at full graphics and what not.
I don't know why... But they play smoother and the res doesn't kill the pc.
On top of that.. Stretching to a smaller 1440x900 or so makes the game blurry.
Anyone else do this?
-
i do, but i do it because i want to chat on AIM and read forums =-) , but ya they do play smoother for me
-
hmm i play 2Moons and WOW in window mode so i can do other things to while i play. I run my screen on 1280x800 and play in 1024x768 window mode
-
I run Diablo 2 windowed because the sprites look a little sharper, other games I will run windowed for better frames sometime. 950 can't do a whole lot at 1440x900 ^_^

Can anybody tell me how to run games in a window plz?

Usually, you can add a "-w" after the executable, but running intensive games in windowed mode will crash your system.
-
or right click, on the game shortcut, then properties and then theres a few options such as run windowed
-
thanks for the quick replies, I can't run intensive games anyway since I'm stuck with a rubbish graphics card at the moment.
-
Only game so far that wont give me the option is Dark messiah :[
but its nice for CSS and stuff so when your on the dead timer you arent bored. -
Ya man..its best for Games like CS/CZ/CSS.. the waiting time on maps like de_dust2 can Kill!
-
only when i'm not able to play in high res like FEAR.
-
I love windowed, didn't want to buy COD4 for a while because I thought there wasn't a way to run it ( in windowed ) but then I found a command that works.
Anyone enjoy windows over full screen for gaming?
