Still haven't found anything. Strange that this would be so hard to do with a nVidia card, when ATi does it automatically.

Why dont get Nvidia 179. I felt that is good and stable also the temp is 52 at idle and 65 max while gaming.

If I run a 1440 x 900 external powermizer runs at level 0 but if I go dual view with the laptops 1280 x 800 the clocks go up to level 2 (3D clocks).

I would have thought if the only thing changed is the level 3 performance clocks then powermizer should work the same as it did with default clocks. What do your other levels 0-2 show?

For me the GeForce drivers below have all been software overclockable and work with powermizer. So far I haven't actually come across any drivers that didn't work.
    Code:
    VHP 32 XP 32 W7 64
    181.20 179.44 179.48
    179.48 179.28 179.28
    179.44 177.98 175.53
    179.32 177.66
    179.28 175.61
    179.04
    175.53

Yeah i say try DOx 182.05. It is a good driver, very stable. And in the end even i still had to choose OC over my powermizer option.

And when i got my T9300 it made it even better.OC!!!!!!!!!

182.05 are the best...but I too had to turn off powermizer when on AC power, to avoid the DDOD (dreaded downclock of death) when OC'd...

And as counter-intuitive as it was to me, my Idle gpu temps are virtually no different at oc'd speeds then powermized speeds...~41-43c.

Strangest thing, it's working perfect now. Running Everest in the tray was preventing it from working for some reason.

Njoy, if you search powermizer on NBR you will find a great little program to turn it off in nearly any driver. It is a automated registry change, to my understanding and is a great help. It may also be the heat that is causing the downclocking, and not the driver.

it doesn't seem to be a heat related issue, for me at least, my gpu never gets over 66c on max load after hours of gaming...and its one of those weird things, it would happen lots of time with absolutely no stress on the gpu, just loading a game at the title screen with the gpu at 44c...
